We're seeking a talented and forward-thinking senior leader to spearhead our Seller Compliance efforts and play a key role in this endeavor.

We obsess over delivering world-class support, predicting Sellers' needs before they arise, and providing innovative solutions to help them better serve their customers. In this role, you will lead cross-region Account Manager teams in China, reporting directly to the Head of Seller Quality & Compliance under the AGS PMO organization. As a seasoned manager with a reputation for hiring and developing top talents, you will leverage your expertise in international business, product and program management, and e-commerce to drive success, paving the way for a simple and frictionless journey for our Sellers to comply with the regulatory requirements across the globe.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving results, exceptional analytical thinking abilities to devise and formulate cutting-edge initiatives, and the capacity to transform them into actionable plans. You will be adept at multitasking, managing multiple complex programs, products, and processes simultaneously. Known for building strong cross-functional and global relationships, you will professionally represent AGS business and Sellers' needs/perspectives to various stakeholders, capable of influencing across multiple company organizations. Thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment, you will insist on the highest standards while maintaining an "invent and simplify" mental model.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall strategy and operations for driving Seller Compliance.

• Hire, coach, and develop high-performing Account Manager teams across 4 cities in China to meet business goals and drive continuous improvement.

• Build trusted advisor relationships with key influencers in the cross-border e-commerce community and decision-makers.

• Implement a Voice-of-the-Seller feedback mechanism to influence product roadmaps, features, and address pain points.

• Align and influence internal and external global partner teams to build best-in-class solutions that simplify compliance for Sellers.

• Exhibit strong leadership presence and command during meetings, effectively communicating with executives up to VP+ levels globally.

• Operate with significant autonomy and discretion, making critical business decisions in routine Seller engagements.

• Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of compliance regulations across Amazon's global presence.

• Serve as the single-threaded owner for all CN2WW business reviews on the Compliance domain, with regular Director and VP interaction.

• Localize international best practices and export best practices developed in China as an active member of the Global Selling organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in sales, account management, or partner management within e-commerce or technology sectors.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and foster high-performing teams.

• Excellent analytical and planning abilities to design and oversee programmatic business development efforts.

• Successful track record of initiating and implementing cross-functional projects.

• Proven ability to manage complex, strategic cross-functional partnerships, and collaborate with external industry-leading influencers and partners.

• Strong persuasion skills and ability to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders.

• Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on tactical execution.

• Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with a strong bias for action.

• Data-driven and analytical mindset, with the ability to back up ideas with facts and assess performance drivers.

• Adherence to high standards and a customer-centric approach.

• Entrepreneurial spirit with a sense of urgency and willingness to take calculated risks.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in Chinese and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cross-border e-commerce compliance, product compliance, trade compliance, or global tax/European Value Added Tax (VAT).

• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, making data-driven decisions.

• Highly analytical, with demonstrated ability to convert raw data into actionable insights and recommendations.

• Excellent communicator, with a track record of using writing to drive decisions and outcomes.

• Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and languages.

Basic Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience successfully leading and developing teams of direct and indirect reports.

  • Proven track-record as individual contributor in fostering key client relationships and hitting quotas/targets.

  • Self-motivated, results-driven and autonomous taking responsibility for achieving targets.

  • Strong analytic and project management skills.

  • Proven ability to work with global and cross-functional teams across business-development, marketing, operations, product development, legal teams, etc.

  • Good balance between strategic/analytical skills and operational execution.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade, convince and explain complex concepts up to Director/VP level.

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; bias for action.

  • Adherence to high-standards and backbone in support of customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Language: Chinese and English

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in retail or account management, with a proven track record of managing high performing teams and projects.

  • 3+ years in hiring and developing people/team.

  • University Degree required.

  • Experience in business development/sales/consulting (top-tier firm), preferably in the technology, internet and e-commerce sectors

  • Success managing dynamic account portfolios

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cross border e-commerce compliance on product compliance, trade compliance or global tax/European Value Added Tax (VAT) a plus.
