Danaher Corporation Senior Business Analyst in Shanghai, China

BASIC PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and providing strategic recommendations for optimizing the utilization of company ERP systems. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their business needs, configuring the ERP system, and ensuring its alignment with organizational goals. The Senior Business Analyst will also play a key role in supporting end-users, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement within the ERP environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for Oracle ERP modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing).

  • Conduct analysis and gap assessments to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions that maximize the utilization of Oracle ERP systems.

  • Configure Oracle ERP modules to meet business needs, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Oracle ERP systems with other applications and platforms.

  • Conduct system testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure successful implementation and alignment with business requirements.

  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving system-related problems in a timely manner.

  • Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.

  • Stay up-to-date with Oracle ERP releases, updates, and best practices, and proactively communicate and train end-users on new features and functionalities.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of Oracle ERP systems and data.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

The Senior Business Analyst reports to the Senior Manager of IT.

The Senior Business Analyst collaborates with staff members within the IT group to maintain and enhance the performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization.

The Senior Business Analyst partners with various business functions including but not limited to commercial, logistics & distribution, manufacturing, finance; evaluates their business needs, and translates those needs into system solutions.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND GIVEN:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for his/her own work in accordance with IT policies / standards and his / her supervisors/managers’ instruction. Some work requires analysis and use of initiative and independent judgment while most of assignments are specific and well defined.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management or other related majors

  • Proven experience as an Oracle ERP Business Analyst

  • Strong understanding of Oracle ERP modules, with focus on one of the areas - Finance, Supply Chain, manufacturing, and their interdependencies.

  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle ERP configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.

  • Experience with Oracle ERP implementation projects, including requirements gathering, system configuration, and user acceptance testing.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Highly Desired Skills:

  • Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organizational skills and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Knowledge and familiarity in underlying Oracle ERP applications database

    architecture, as well as Oracle database and development tools (PL/SQL, SQL

    Plus,Forms, Reports)

  • Knowledge in Microsoft PowerBI is a plus

  • Working experience in IVD or pharmacy industry or MNC is a plus

  • Experience with working effectively in a matrix organization, with geographically dispersed team members (including the offshore teams) and a willingness to take ownership of future product releases

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position may require infrequent business traveling.
