Why does this position exist? With what permanent objectives?

Conduct and coordinate sales and marketing activities in Local Key Account

Provide country management team with market know-how, customer expertise as well as business intelligence.

Coordinate and implement global/regional Key account strategy, drive respective regional new business development.

Main Tasks:

Customer Activities:

  1. Serve as the main contact to customers for business in the country by communication customer requirements to the company via interfaces and manage customer complaints.

  2. Plan, develop and implement market and customer strategies, marketing, and business concepts as well as product and service portfolios for the accounts.

  3. Develop and implement market intelligence in line with regional framework.

Strategy Development

  1. Plan, develop and implement market and customer strategies, marketing and business concepts as well as product and service portfolios for the accounts; negotiate prices and terms

  2. Develop and implement market intelligence based local KA strategy (incl. proposed investment plan for Capex, labs, technical service etc.) in line with global and regional frameworks

  3. In accordance with corporate strategic goals, control and secure cooperation and provide support in business development incl. development of contracts / bids

Account Management:

  1. Responsible for the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets, incl vol, NS, profitability, selling cost, working capital (inventory, A/R, overdue)

  2. Manage material forecast (including imports and local production) achieving the organization’s target forecast accuracy and manage stock inventory and ensure timely collection of account receivables.

  3. Develop local market and competitor analysis.

  4. Work cross functionally with other departments to fulfill customers’ needs in support of company strategies and achieving targeted cCM1 and Selling Cost

  5. Driving new projects/ new customer acquisition initiatives

  6. Collaborate and communicate with regional key account managers and related cross functional units.

  7. Ensure all activities comply to EHS and quality requirement.

People and Culture:

  1. Performance Management of team members

  2. Lead and development people in the team

  3. Foster team culture in line with EC Culture

  4. Bachelor or above in business management or Chemical Engineering related majors

  5. At least 7 years relevant working experience in Key Account Management and project management preferably in the coatings or automotive industry

  6. Commercial and technical knowledge preferably in the coatings industry

  7. Good communication skills both in English and Chinese

  8. IT/IS competency in Microsoft applications
