About the role:

• Lead on legal aspects of commercial activities within the sales, marketing and supply functions across assigned regions in Asia, including but not limited to:

• Drafting, negotiating, reviewing and managing contracts and tenders for procurement, product supply and quality, trade promotions and other related matters

• Providing guidance and education on contract template, system and best practices

• Managing distribution related docs (other than contracts) as required

• Reviewing and approving marketing materials and campaigns

• Participating in Gates review and approval process for NPDs

• Advise the finance, tax, treasury, corporate governance and human resources functions on legal issues and risks as required from time to time.

• Monitor regulatory changes and update Head of Legal on key legal developments and implications.

• Develop, localize and implement group policies and procedures on relevant legal topics of focused areas.

• Streamline and improve legal related processes/work flows through adopting new tools/techs and cross function engagement.

• Design and deliver regular training sessions under training scheme and respond to specific training needs.

• Coordinate the use of local and international external legal advisers in relation to these activities, and track and manage the legal fee spend against budget.

• Resolve conflicts effectively with external and internal stakeholders by ensuring business decisions are made swiftly and with a comprehensive understanding of legal risks

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Group Legal and line management on legal matters

• Deliver timely and accurate in-house legal advice that supports the business objectives

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to quality and responsiveness

• Maintain strong communication, negotiation and drafting skills

• Be aware of and respect cross-cultural differences

• Act independently and prioritize competing matters efficiently

• Adapt to changing business needs and legal environments across different regions in Asia

• Manage multiple jurisdictions and legal systems with proficiency and accuracy

About you:

• Master degree or above

• High calibre commercial lawyer with 1-3 years’ experience in MNCs or law firm

• Oversea experience preferred

• Demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to quickly assess business transactions, and provide clear and concise guidance in ambiguous circumstances

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Chinese

• Credibility, professionalism and strong personal integrity
