Sartorius Head of Sales & Service, BPS China in Shanghai, China
The position will be responsible for defining and overseeing the China sales strategy to achieve the BPS growth objectives. The holder of this position will drive sustainable growth in revenue and profitability, develop effective sales leadership in all sales channels, and manage service, commercial excellence, and a field technical customer-supporting team to optimize customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Strategy to tactic
Define and implement the divisional and corporate sales strategy, the product group strategy, vertical market segments and marketing plans
Set and align clear ambitions and business goals with all internal stakeholders, develop a clear tactical plan to implement and drive for results
Oversee revenue forecasting activities to ensure it reflects the market potential and team development goals
Business monitoring
Actively review the strategy initiatives and be able to propose and present strategy directions to the management team
Take ownership and accountability for all revenue targets, sales projections, operational budget proposals and management
Oversee complex sales negotiations with very large, high-profile customers
Organization development
Continuously improve the selling process efficiency across the customer’s journey and whole leads to cash process
Build the core team capabilities of sales and service organization to ensure teams can continuously exceed the growth targets
Attract, develop, and retain talent for the area of responsibility and provide appropriate training/tools to the teams
Market presence
Represent the company in business development activities and be able to connect with key opinion leaders and partners in the market
Maintain high level customer’s relationship to drive innovation
Qualifications & Skills:
Master’s Degree in the relevant field, preferably with a MBA
Demonstrate outstanding leadership with a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a complex sales environment
Strategic and structural thinking to build up high-level tactic frameworks
Expertise in selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning, and execution
Excellent communication and networking skills at all levels of the organization internally and externally
Strategic selling knowledge: corporate positioning, high-level relationship management
Very self-driven and results-focused
Strong team player and relationship builder
