Philips Global Product Manager in Shanghai, China

Global Product Manager in the Patient Interface Business Category owns/formulates their specific portfolio's product strategy to include detailed product specifications/requirements, launch and life-cycle management; or their enhancements, driven by global and local market needs. A deep understanding of customer needs and commercial success criteria is also critical to this position as is the collection and analysis of market / customer information.

Your Role:

  • Formulates the upstream strategy (Portfolio, Product, lifecycle and Clinical claims roadmaps) for the assigned portfolio based on strong (clinical & economical) customer insights, in close cooperation with global markets (supported by Market Intelligence)

  • Collects and analyses of customer and market information, does competitive benchmarking and defines existing market target groups

  • Translates a general product plan into clear detailed specifications for proposition development, business case and potentially new business models

  • Works in cross-functional teams to include R&D, Design, Finance, Quality, Regulatory and Operations to develop and deliver integrated offerings that meet the needs of priority customer segments and improve patient care delivery

  • Own product pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities

  • Lifecycle management: Keeps the existing portfolio healthy from a financial, patient safety and quality perspective

  • Drives the market introduction of the portfolio and develops effective marketing materials and clinical claims based deep customer & market insights

  • Works with Business marketing management teams to enable the market marketing & sales teams

You are part of

Philips Sleep and Respiratory Care, and report to the Segment lead in the Patient Interfaces Category. In this role you will work cross functionally with other marketing functions, R&D, and the team of Product Managers

You are the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; MBA preferred

  • Sound experience in marketing, product development or related field

  • Must have experience in medical device industry, Health technology or Consumer Health

  • Strong drive and experience in value proposition creation

  • Skilled at portfolio management and pragmatic decision-making around lifecycle management

  • Understanding of willingness to pay and commercial policy enabling development of pricing models

  • Ability to develop realistic and comprehensive Business Cases and New business models

  • Skilled at driving customer results by utilizing program/project management abilities

  • Expert at defining marketing mix, channel strategies and Go-To-Market approach, Installed Base programs, etc

  • Real team-player, positive can-do attitude, strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality who knows how to get things done in a matrix organization
