Hyatt Feasibility Internship – Hyatt Greater China Office (Shanghai) in SHANGHAI, China

Summary

Hyatt Feasibility team is looking for an intern for Autumn 2024, based in Shanghai corporate hub. Ideal candidates should be able to commit to 6 months in order to gain in-depth experience. The start/end dates are flexible based on the candidates’ availability. Internship allowance will be offered, but housing will not be provided.

Primary Job Responsibilities

The intern will assist and participate in the following tasks:

  • Research support for new development projects in Greater China/Asia Pacific markets; fieldwork may be required for Greater China projects.

  • Destination and hotel market trend analysis.

  • Competitor facilities research and performance data analysis.

  • Site evaluation, market-based facility recommendation and pro forma projections

  • Ad hoc strategic planning projects

Basic Requirements

  • Junior and senior year undergraduate or graduate students in Hospitality, Real Estate, Finance or Economics would be preferred.

  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 days travel may be required on project basis.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.

  • Basic understanding of Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI). preferred.

  • Previous experience in hotel operations highly recommended.
