About the role

Support director to lead the development of long term and short term strategy, channel strategies, drive business growth and profitability, identification, evaluation, communicate and ensure internal stakeholders are shaped on key pillars as well as external partnerships

Be Responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of the company's Business Intelligence capabilities. This role will ensure that BI systems and tools are effectively utilized to deliver actionable insights that drive decision-making and strategic planning.

Long-Term Strategy:

• Develop a comprehensive long-term commercial strategy for the brand portfolio across distribution channels and clients, focused on optimizing growth towards achieving five-year targets.

• Formulate annual strategic and quantitative targets, guiding and directing sales and commercial activities across functional groups to ensure achievement of objectives.

• Identify growth opportunities and establish commercial initiatives to capitalize on market trends and consumer behavior

Localization of Global Corporate Strategy:

• Ensure local organizational alignment with the company's overall growth agenda by leading the development of local portfolio strategies to win in the local market.

• Define strategies for winning in specific channels, consumer segments, and regions, identifying long-term strategic opportunities with risk analysis and actionable plans.

Commercial Strategy:

• Define one-year and three-year plans for channel and stage expansion to drive volume and top-line growth.

• Evaluate the current state of distribution channels, identify areas for improvement, and negotiate effectively to establish a strong brand image.

• Identify best practices in commercial operations, develop shared methodologies and models, and foster commercial excellence.

• Implement a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) process to replicate and generate new best practices.

• Formulate an investment allocation plan for marketing, trade, and development resources.

Business Intelligence:

• Develop and execute a BI strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives, driving data-driven decision-making.

• Design and oversee the implementation of BI systems and tools, including data warehouses, reporting tools, and dashboards.

• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of data used for BI analysis, collaborating with IT and data teams to establish data governance policies and procedures.

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other BI deliverables, providing insights to stakeholders across the organization.

• Provide training and ongoing support to users on BI tools and systems, responding promptly to inquiries and requests.

Project Management

• Be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects. This includes setting clear project objectives, developing detailed plans, assigning resources, and ensuring timely delivery of quality results.

• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. Build and lead cross-functional teams, motivating them to work collaboratively to achieve project goal

About you

• 10+ years experience in top tier strategy consultancy or an in-house strategy function

• Tertiary qualification in sales, finance, marketing or other quantitative field

• Ability to confidently present to and influence senior leadership team

• Demonstrate deep experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving and frameworks, project and change management

• Analytics and quantitative modelling

• Consumer market experience is an advantage

• Experience in leading significant change management projects

• Creative outside the box thinking

• Project management skills
