Microsoft Corporation Business Program Manager in Shanghai, China

The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy to a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. Our team drives cross-Region, cross-Area and cross-Subsidiary insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact at scale.

You will be responsible for business program planning and design; program excellence and execution and you will contribute to or lead a project/projects or programs and ensure you conduct program evaluation and improvement. You will utilize direction and strategy from leadership regarding the business area of expertise in order to help create and execute plans that shift current priorities to new organizational initiatives and objectives and influence others to change behavior accordingly.

Responsibilities

• You will lead the Rhythm of the Business (ROB) design in partnership with corporate & regional Microsoft teams. Define accountabilities and set infrastructure to document and orchestrate ROB. Integrate Microsoft ROB/IAP for Managers and insights into ROB and drive accountability for adoption. Partner with RoB owners to identify key business insights and drive focus to the right business topics. Monitor progress to goals and drive accountability through local action governance and provide recommendations on special rhythms.

• You will enable on-strategy performance through high-quality Planning deliverables that cascades Microsoft strategy, maximizes Area opportunity and supports execution to meet business targets. Work to land corporate guidance and local activities into a cohesive execution plan and lead Area planning process engaging Microsoft workstreams owners to align, inform and prepare Area leadership for Planning decisions. Manage Area planning timeline, resources, communications to maintain leadership informed, and guarantee timely deliverables on BSO owned workstreams of Fiscal Year (FY) planning.

• You will execute effective resource management by managing headcount deployment (Blueprint) in area and support Employee Data Management (EDM) in region. Cascade FY Blueprint and support Regional or Area leadership headcount decisions in partnership with Finance, Segments and HR. Ensure in-year Regional or Area Blueprint fidelity and drive governance on required Blueprint changes.

• You will Partner with the Global Sales Operations Center (GSOC) team to identify services expansion that scale productivity and enable efficiencies in ROB and Resources management. Drive adoption of standard tools via ROB guidance. Support Tool simplification and drive Data Platform and Reporting consolidation by adopting Microsoft standard Toolset.

• You will support landing non-financial metrics distribution that maximizes business performance (if applicable): Set up Regional or Area Non-financial metrics distribution process all up including scrubs and validation for data accuracy. Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, track sales performance, and provide recommendations for improving sales productivity and revenue growth.

• You will build skills and capabilities and identify areas where additional training, resources, or support are needed and proactively seek opportunities to address these gaps. Stay informed about Microsoft's training and development programs, certifications, and resources. Foster peer-to-peer learning and collaboration, cross-training and knowledge sharing within the team and global community to enhance overall capabilities supporting an environment of continuous improvement.

• Leads a portfolio of projects (based on business priorities) including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for highly complex programs. Communicates the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans, and processes. Establishes objectives and success criteria for the project in an inclusive, collaborative manner with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement

• Can speak Chinese is a must.
