AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. Amazon Web Services has supported over 10,000 local startups and has provided cloud skills training to over 700,000 talents. This is why the Industry cluster team is looking for a BD manager for MNC Automotive Customers. In this role, you will will be responsible for providing auto solution (Autonomous Driving, Software-Defined Vehicle etc..), strategic business leadership and management of these customers. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, win strategic workloads, monitor deployment projects and engage resources. You will define a CXO relationship strategy within the account, including engaging with AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorships, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key job responsibilities

Development of strategic relationship, winning of strategic workloads and achievement of revenue target is core to the role of BD Manager, Automotive Industry.

The BD Manager is responsible for teaming with the customer’s Digital and IT Organization to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups. The BD Manager is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. The BD Manager will work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests. The BD Manager will also work closely with international team supporting the customer in other regions to ensure consistent account strategy and execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • A BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • A minimum of 5+ years of enterprise selling experience of ICT or Digital solution in large global accounts.

  • Experience working with a large Global organization as lead Account and Relationship Manager.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin are required.

  • Candidate must possess demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive industry knowledge is prefer, familiar with ADAS, SDV or emerging Digital solutions in the automotive sector.

  • Experience working in a global federated enterprise working with multiple business units and influencing governance and policy is a plus.
