Description We are offering an opportunity to join our team in the construction industry, located in Shakopee, Minnesota, United States as a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director. The role involves managing the weekly payroll processing cycle, overseeing the processing of multi-union, multi-state craft, and non-union staff payroll, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll taxes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee weekly payroll processing cycle to ensure accuracy and efficiency

• Supervise the processing of multi-union, multi-state craft, and non-union staff payroll

• Complete and submit weekly and non-weekly payroll filings, including payroll taxes, unemployment taxes, and voluntary/involuntary deductions

• Maintain and administer union-related compensation and benefits

• Handle complex reconciliations for payroll accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy

• Oversee payroll-related compliance and support job-specific reporting

• Assist internal and external auditors during the audit process by providing necessary documents and reports

• Respond to time entry related questions from employees and managers

• Build and nurture strong working relationships with all levels across the organization, union representatives, third-party vendors, and external partners to resolve issues and drive process improvements

• Evaluate and optimize payroll systems and software to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.

Skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Certified Payroll, Full Cycle Payroll, Multi-state Payroll, Payroll - 101 - 500 Employees, Payroll - In-House, Payroll - Multi-State, Payroll - Union, Payroll Taxes, Weekly Payroll. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director role within the construction or contractor industry.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites in managing and processing payroll.

• Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) is required.

• Demonstrable experience in Certified Payroll, Full Cycle Payroll, Multi-state Payroll, and Weekly Payroll.

• Proven ability to manage payroll for a range of 101-500 employees.

• Familiarity with In-House Payroll, Multi-State Payroll, Union Payroll, and Payroll Taxes.

• Ability to efficiently handle payroll in a unionized environment.

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

• Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
