Position Summary The Estimating and Planning Manager will optimize the company's pricing strategy through process control and variance analysis, while collaborating with Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders to support the development and presentation of an appropriate pricing and bid strategy. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Ensure day-to-day cross-functional alignment and execution of planning and estimating strategies Evaluate production methods and recommend cost-effective solutions to meet client budgets and deadlines Work cross functionally to reduce deviations from price / planning / actual and implement sustainable resolutions Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and technological advancements to maintain competitiveness in the market. Maintain working knowledge of processes by spending time with internal teams to discuss variances and works to continuously improve processes Ensure all planning processes are efficient and provides downstream customers with essential materials and accurate information Prioritize workload by tracking timelines and evaluating outside service requirements Solve discrepancies by analyzing estimate vs actual job costing reports, review estimates for accuracy, and work to continuously improve workflow and processes. Other duties as assigned Mandatory Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree Four years estimating and / or planning experience Strong knowledge of printing processes, including offset lithography, flexography, and digital printing. Strong Math aptitude Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations and documentation. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Active team player who always exhibits a positive work attitude and can work with little supervision Willingness to grow and be challenged!
