Description

We are in the market for a meticulous Senior Accountant to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution - This role involves a variety of accounting duties, from managing daily financial operations to preparing trial balance statements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations and supervise the accounting team to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.

• Obtain a thorough understanding of financial reporting, general ledger, and sub-ledger structures such as Cash, AP, AR, Invoicing, Inventory, Purchasing, and Payroll.

• Prepare trial balance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information in line with GAAP.

• Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions, and reconciling entries as necessary.

• Execute and distribute annual 1099s for all applicable vendor payments.

• Perform various tax computations, including income, sales, use, property, and payroll taxes, and assist in filing related forms/reports.

• Prepare and file estimated and quarter filing return for sales and use tax and pay estimated federal and state income taxes.

• Train entry-level staff on accounting processes and procedures.

• Review and edit master reconciliation GL accounts to ensure entries are accurate for financial reporting.

• Review monthly bank reconciliation and prepare quarterly freeze and yearly PI reports.

• Calculate and prepare actual monthly wage worker’s compensation insurance.

• Assist payroll, Accounting Receivables, Accounting Payables, and Invoicing when needed.

• Research and assist staff to resolve accounting issues.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and Great Plains (GPAC)

• Experience in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Auditing

• Understanding of Budget Processes and Journal Entry

• Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account, Balance Sheets, and Bank Reconciliations.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Accounting.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services.

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions.

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software.

• Ability to perform all essential Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Proficiency in auditing.

• Experience in Budget Processes.

• Ability to perform Journal Entry tasks.

• Knowledge of Balance Sheet Account management.

• Experience in creating and managing Balance Sheets.

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations.

• Must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• No requirement for a background check or drug screening.
