Job Purpose:

Lead the Sales Team in Korea providing line management and coaching necessary to meet the business targets and objectives for Korea.

The Sales Team Manager will be responsible for the account and prospecting strategies to ensure maximum growth of AVEVA’s Total portfolio to AVEVA’s addressable markets and support pipeline development and Subscription growth in Korea.

A key focus is to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team by helping them to execute their Account Manager Business Plans, Pipeline development and Close plans

Dimensions:

This role is part of the Korea Leadership Team where you will work closely with local marketing, technical sales, Customer Success, Renewals and Sales Support and the delivery organisation to build and close business within the region.

This role requires the ability to discover and close new opportunities and upselling existing AVEVA customers.

It is an expectation that travel to clients, partners, prospects regularly with the Sales team.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To meet and exceed targets for assigned accounts

  • Develop Pipelines > 3 times the assigned target

  • Ensure team are correctly recording their activities and opportunities within the AVEVA CRM system

  • Work with Local Marketing and LDR to develop and execute Sales Campaigns and Lead Generation activities.

  • Important Working Relationships In addition to maintaining strong working relationships with all regional Sales, Marketing, Solution Strategy and Global Business Development the Sales Manager will maintain a close working relationship with the Technical Sales Management team to ensure effective collaboration on opportunity development

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • You will at least 15 years of total S/W sales experience and possess > 10 experience in managing a Software Sales team

  • You will be passionate about coaching sales individuals to understand the customer’s business and investigate and uncover their most important problems to solve, matching AVEVA’s solutions to these problems where appropriate.

  • You will preferably be degree qualified or have a professional qualification

  • You will have sound commercial and analytical skills to help identify market trends and opportunities for your nominated territory, refining business and account plans to exploit such opportunities

  • You will be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of individuals in your team and build techniques to coach their improved performance

  • You will have a positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities and then marshalling your team to pursue and close the business

  • You will have strong communication skills in all forms – written, oral, email, presentation, and have strong English language skills.

Considers cost/benefit implications of change. Ensures any proposed changes/ actions support the organisational strategy and brand position

  • Strategic Focus: Takes account of strategic goals when dealing with short-term issues Translates strategic objectives in to clear Departmental and Team goals and plans Ensures resources are focused on the achievement of strategic priorities and intervenes to realign them when necessary. Contributes to the development of strategic objectives.
