Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. Azure Data Services group is hiring experienced Program Managers that share our passion to help customers build and modernize their analytics platforms on the cloud. You should possess deep solutions architecture and technical expertise, business acumen, and have the ability to clearly communicate at all levels with the customer. You will be a SME on Data Warehousing or Spark and will have hands on experience working with one of these. You will work with customers and partners to architect and design the solutions, proof of concepts or pilot projects to make our customers successful. Through these engagements, you will represent the voice of the customer distilling new requirements and issues into improvements for engineering teams. You will also collect patterns and lessons learned from your engagements and turn them into reference architectures, best practices and training for engineering teams and the global Azure Data Services community. As a part of the Microsoft Fabric product team, you'll have an opportunity to work with largest Microsoft customers in the region and ensure their feedback is captured and reflected in Fabric feature plans. You will help amplify the impact this strategic product is bringing to large enterprises across the world.

Responsibilities

• Work with one or more key customers in the region as local member of Azure data product team representing the team and helping the customer adopt key Azure data services.

• Guide and support customers on delivery of their projects on Azure Data Platform

• Be the local representative from Azure Data product team. Interact with customers in the region to gather feedback and guide their decision-making around feasibility of solutions and technology choices related to Azure Data Services.

• Support customers for delivery of their Spark projects by sharing Spark knowledge, best practices and supporting customer’s development teams with technology ramp-up and troubleshooting help as required.

• Help customers optimize their data pipelines and queries by way of design and code review workshops to ensure efficient and fast data processing and analysis.

• Provide expert level support on customer support tickets in the local time zone, when required.

• Build and manage deep relations with customer’s technical organization and ensure their success.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively to ensure successful delivery of projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product management and business development to align on project goals, deliverables, and timelines.

• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical program management, software development, Solution Architecture or related field.

• Experience with Synapse, SQL, Spark and other distributed computing technologies

• Development experience as a data engineer/ architect.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Customer management skills with experience managing large-scale, complex projects with cross-functional teams.

• Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Business level Korean language skills and communication level English language skills.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • Experience designing and implementing Spark based ETL pipelines and related infrastructure.

  • Experience with data integration, data migration, and data warehousing.

  • Experience with data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA is a plus.
