JUMBO Consulting Group is growing in South Korea, and we are now seeking a Senior Consultant that will focus on contract advisory, procurement, and contract management for major offshore wind developments.

The Role:

As a Senior Consultant (Procurement & Contracts Manager), you will be supporting key clients of JUMBO Consulting Group with major offshore wind developments in South Korea.

You will be fully integrated into some of the most exciting offshore wind projects in South Korea and be providing expert advice across a wide range of procurement and contractual matters from early stage development through to completion.

Utilising your extensive experience in supply chain, procurement, contracts, and legal matters, you will collaborate with the existing JUMBO Consulting Group's team and the client organisation to drive forward procurement processes and contract negotiations for key scopes on the projects including, development agreements, geotechnical/geophysical, inter-array and export cables, and/or T&I contracts.

You will lead the development of procurement and contracting strategy, drafting, negotiations, and management of contracts from early-stage project development through to the execution of the projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to play an integral role in the development of ground-breaking offshore wind projects in South Korea, as well as the growth of JUMBO Consulting Group in the country and wider APAC region.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Procurement Management:

  • Develop procurement strategies and plans.

  • Manage and conduct supplier pre-qualification.

  • Manage and conduct the Invitation to Tender process.

  • Draft contract and Invitation to Tender documents.

  • Draft and negotiate supply and installation contracts for the various packages of an offshore wind farm including, WTG, foundations, OSS, cables, other BoP elements, and transportation.

  • Draft and negotiate main contracts for other renewable energy projects including power-to-X, green hydrogen, green ammonia, utility scale solar PV, storage, onshore wind and renewable energy transmission.

  • Manage and conduct tender evaluation, negotiations and prepare award recommendation.

  • Provide contract and procurement advice to projects management team.

  • Contract management, supplier follow-up and contract close-out.

  • Be an active member of the procurement organization and project team.

Contract Management:

Once projects enter execution phase, you will be involved with the following:

  • Work side by side with the project management team to ensure a successful project delivery, balancing risk with solutions that are commercially and contractually viable.

  • Keep a continuous overview over critical milestones, assess and manage rights and obligations according to the contract.

  • Direct and process changes, variations and claims in the project and ensure that the changes are implemented in compliance with our client's commercial interests.

  • Provide interpretation of contracts, organize and process correspondence with contracting parties and monitor fulfilment of contractual obligations.

  • Manage the commercial relationship and communication with contractors during the execution phase of the project keeping a close dialogue with them to ensure that issues are dealt with proactively with diligence and foresight.

  • Ensure timely delivery of the contract within the set mandate.

  • Drive governance processes and required presentation material towards different stakeholders and decision bodies such as the Steering Committee.

  • Contribute to further developing processes regarding contract management.
