Amazon Partner Sales Manager in Seoul, South Korea

Description

Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and building a team of world class business development professionals to establish relationships and manage the success of our Technology and Consulting partners. As a partner development manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to generate awareness and adoption of the AWS cloud computing platform including Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Cloud Front, Amazon Cloud Search and Amazon Market Place by key IT business partners in Korea.

Key job responsibilities

  • Proactively identify IT service providers who are prepared to lead the market transition to Cloud

  • Facilitate adoption and manage existing partners (Managed service providers, resellers and professional services firms)

  • Identify partners in specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach, create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services

  • Position AWS for internal use by the partner organization.

  • Ensure that AWS is the partner’s preferred cloud computing platform across all product lines.

  • Understand the technical and training requirements of our partners, and work closely with the internal - AWS product teams to guide the direction of future products.

  • Maintain a robust projects pipeline.

  • Working experience with CRM systems and other analytic tools to establish detailed metrics for tracking purposes.

  • Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team.

About the team

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • The right person will possess significant partner management or business development experience in the software/technology industry.

  • Consistently exceeds quota and key performance metrics.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.

  • Strong program management skills with a focus on delivering scalable programs supporting hundreds of customers/partners.

  • Strong technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive technologies like open source software, virtualization and Software as a Service delivery models.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience

  • Technical qualification
