AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and building a team of world class business development professionals to establish relationships and manage the success of our Technology and Consulting partners. As a partner development manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to generate awareness and adoption of the AWS cloud computing platform including Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Cloud Front, Amazon Cloud Search and Amazon Market Place by key IT business partners in Korea and drive incremental value to our customers

Key job responsibilities

  • Build and manage a strategic business plan with key partners

  • Facilitate adoption and manage existing partners (Managed service providers, resellers and professional services firms)

  • Understand the technical and training requirements of our partners, and work closely with the internal - AWS product teams to guide the direction of future products.

  • Drive solutions, APN Program attainment, continuous enablement through training and certifications and go-to-market strategies for differentiation and expanding their footprint

  • Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team.

  • Work with cross functional teams to create and execute on strategic business plans, inclusive of enablement, practice development, and marketing, to execute achievement against partner goals

  • Act as the owner of Partner Operations, which includes both setting up the administration and governance within the partner, as well as managing revenue reporting, opportunity registration in the APN

  • Drive partner sales revenue through regular pipeline, opportunity registration and business reviews with partners to manage progress against business plan and core KPIs

  • Evangelize a partner’s value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with customers

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting up and managing a sales pipeline

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

  • Experience in program or project management

  • Master's degree or equivalent

  • Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written)
