How you will create an impact

  • This role is your opportunity to drive profitable growth in Financial Lines by working on creative solutions for complex risks. You will be responsible for overall underwriting management of FL team’s products, especially, PI / K&R / Cyber and D&O as well.

  • You will manage portfolio inclusive of underwriting individual risk, controlling loss and combined ratio, managing capacity, setting up strategy, adopting new product and communicating with regional team.

  • You will also be responsible for channel management including Broker, Agency, AIG AD for production activities.

  • Keep analyzing and being updated with market trends and ascertain the resulting activities to boost up FL production from Branches along with marketing strategies, training and communication.

  • You will need to assist & deputizing in setting up financial objectives of Financial Lines via both budget process and production follow-up activity to achieve the objective set, and assist & deputizing in Financial Lines overall P&L management

  • Provide trainings to distribution channel effectively to promote Financial lines products

What you’ll need to succeed

  • At least 3 years of underwriting experience, with good knowledge of General Insurance with broad industry networks with good market reputation

  • The ability to properly underwrite risks based upon deep knowledge about product, coverage, and most importantly underwriting guideline

  • Confident professional with ethical level in accordance with assigned authority & NY guideline

  • The ability to read market trend & movement and search for niche market for FL business

  • Client relationship management skills, come up with retail marketing plan and to lead internal ales distribution channels

  • Excellent departmental data management skills research data & information

  • High proficiency in English and Korean, both speaking & writing

  • Good communication & presentation skills, Networking & relationship building skills, a good team player

  • Customer and Sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable
