The Field Applications Engineer Processor (FAEP) is responsible for partnering with Sales and providing Processor related technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. The FAEP proactively identifies current products and/or creative solutions to solve existing customer projects and create new functionality/opportunities. They also use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to gain credibility and develop relationships with customers.
In this role, your responsibilities include:
Responsible for partnering with Sales and providing Processor-related technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
Proactively identifies current products and/or creative solutions to solve existing customer projects and create new functionality/opportunities.
Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to gain credibility and develop relationships with customers.
Has in-depth customer knowledge: full engineering and decision-making processes (i.e. design process), customer’s product life cycle and points of influence and leverage those information to engage opportunities and contribute win more for TI.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in EE/Comp Eng, or comparable
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Working understanding of applications with an emphasis on PC motherboard controllers and system management controllers
Preferred qualifications:
Above 3 year of service in “Automotive ADAS or Vision processing system development”
Electrical engineering knowledges
R&D experience in embedded system on MCU and AP (Application Processor) with C/C language
Best with Software R&D experience in Automotive ADAS domain
Knowledge on high level OS (ie. Linux, QNX, Windows CE) and/or RTOS (ie. FreeRTOS)
Knowledge of device driver development
Experience in developing software for Image processing, computer vision
Experience in IDE such as Visual Studio, Code Composer Studio and so on
Understanding on OpenVx, OpenGL, OpenCV
Understanding on ARM Architecture, DSP Architecture, Peripherals (ie. I2C, CAN, SPI, MIPI, DP, Ethernet, etc.) and ISP (Image Signal Processing)
Understanding on machine learning, deep learning is plus
