Amazon Communications Manager in Seoul, South Korea

Description

The AWS Korea team is looking for an innovative, results-oriented Communications Manager to define and drive the communication strategy and long-term priorities for our Leadership team in Korea. As Communications Manager, you will bring communications, leadership and sales business knowledge with end-to-end accountability. You will own the long-term vision and tenets that drive working backwards strategies. This Communications manager will work closely with LT, PR, AR and Marketing to identify, analyze, and develop strategies to improve internal/external communications from AWS Korea. This is a role that requires frequent engagement with AWS leadership. In your career you must have demonstrated successful executive presence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to influence others.



Key job responsibilities

  • Manage the content strategy for the designated business unit, partnering with cross- functional teams to define key themes, messages, and channels;


  • Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographies;


  • Translate nuanced and complex business topics into communications content and strategies that drives engagement with our AWS employees

About the team

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

  • 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience

  • Knowledge/Experience managing comms campaigns in digital platforms like LinkedIn.

  • Experience managing global stakeholders and unique cultural conditions

  • Strong leadership skills

  • An innate desire to learn and be curious.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English

  • End-to-end event planning and execution experience, with high level of attention to detail and time management.

  • Demonstrated experience developing executive level communications in a variety of formats (e.g., blogs, executive presentations, whitepapers, etc.)

  • Experience leading communications within a sales or marketing organization

  • Experience driving cultural change and influencing organizations through communications, from audience and stakeholder analysis through data and success metrics tracking

  • Experience developing and implementing communication plans

  • Demonstrated experience building trust and influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders

  • Experience creating content: digital, written, video, or visual communications materials
