Google Cloud Consultant, Big Data and Analytics, Google Cloud (English, Korean) in Seoul, South Korea

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience managing projects, delivering technical solutions/architecture, and developing and maintaining technical solutions in visualized environments.

  • Experience architecting, designing and deploying distributed data processing systems with one or more open source technologies.

  • Experience in technical consulting delivery for data solutions in cloud environments.

  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English and Korean with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA in Computer Science or Engineering field.

  • Certification in Cloud.

  • 8 years of experience managing customer/client-facing big data consulting projects to completion and managing technical delivery.

  • Experience devising migration approach, and migrating on-premises data processing systems to the cloud.

  • Experience with reading software code in one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python.

  • Experience designing and deploying distributed data processing systems with one or more technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Hadoop, Spark, HBase, Vertica, Netezza, Teradata, Tableau, or MicroStrategy).

You listen to the customer and swiftly problem-solve technical issues to show how our products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. You work closely with a cross-functional team of web developers and systems administrators, not to mention a variety of both regional and international customers. Your relationships with customers are crucial in helping Google grow its Cloud business and helping companies around the world innovate.

In this role, you will work directly with Google’s most strategic customers on critical projects to help them transform their businesses. You will provide management, consulting and technical aptitude to customer engagements while working with client executives and key technical leaders to deploy solutions via Google Cloud Platform. You will also work closely with key Google partners currently servicing accounts to manage programs, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance and best practice expertise. You will travel approximately 30% of the time for client engagements as needed.

  • Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations of cloud solutions, becoming a trusted advisor to decision makers throughout the engagement.

  • Work with internal specialists and Product and Engineering teams to package best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.

  • Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes.

  • Advocate for customer needs in order to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development based on the field experience.

  • Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud-based distributed virtualized infrastructure solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementation of best practices.
