Job Overview

Works directly with clients to provide value added input, to develop business opportunities that will lead to additional starbursts and to deliver projects built around strategic issues. Has responsibility for ensuring delivery of high levels of client satisfaction. Typically works within a specific CoE area but may have responsibility across multiple expertise areas and/or clients. Meets or exceeds assigned revenue targets.

Background: The global awareness for real-world data and its use for commercial decision making is a natural development. The healthcare community is receptive to expanding the use of RWD, beyond traditional safety and regulatory-related applications, towards all stages of the product lifecycle to support marketing, portfolio leads, business insights functions and health economics/ outcome research.

Essential Functions

• Primary owner of client engagements with ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value.

• Meets or exceeds assigned revenue targets by developing and delivering insightful, value-added solutions that address complex client issues.

• Responsible for significant and tangible client impact from all engagements.

• Seeks out and identifies new revenue opportunities at existing and potential clients – ensures a continuous flow of business from client engagements.

• Takes lead role in proposal development to ensure actionable, on-target and timely proposals are provided to clients.

• Manages client interface and ensures project team achieves efficient and effective project delivery.

• Serves as a solutions-based expert, internally and externally, by applying consultative problem-solving skills.

• Identifies issues of importance to the industry/clients and works with CoE Leaders and/or Geographic Leaders to develop tangible and commercial offerings.

• Contributes to the enhanced awareness of IQVIA in the market place, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, publications etc.

• Proactively continues to strengthen subject matter expertise through on the job experience, participation in conferences and symposiums and other forums for professional knowledge sharing.

• Proactively mentors, coaches and shares subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world class solutions for clients.

• Develop and deliver insightful, value-added strategies that address complex client issues.

• Create and elevate new business opportunities through the identification of value-added follow-on work and identify new revenue opportunities with existing and new client organizations.

• Manage multiple consulting projects of varying complexity, ensure on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries.

• Act as principal owner of client engagements and ongoing relationships; ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value through all steps of an engagement.

• Be a senior advisor and allocate direction, advice, and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams.

• Lead thought leadership and be a spokesman for the beforementioned area; internal and through speaking engagements, client meetings, and publications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required, advanced Degree preferred.

• 15+ years of experience in the life science or consulting industry Req

• Experience in real-world evidence generation and HEOR related projects is an advantage.

• In depth and long standing relationships with client companies, especially at a senior level.

• Requires deep expertise in at least one CoE area along with knowledge of all other practices.

• Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.

• Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline.

• Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and professional/trade associations key people and companies.

• Values people’s opinions and encourages knowledge sharing.

• High level of energy, drive and enthusiasm.

• Able to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities.

• Business Development skills and sales experience; superb and confident external communicator.

• Good communication and networking skills as well as outstanding internal collaboration across countries is required; sensitive to “internal sales” requirements and leading cross-functional teams.

• Sound expertise in client delivery, project management and leadership. Several years of project experience with pharma and other healthcare industries.

• Entrepreneurial attitude, driver, willingness to take risks, but also long-term strategic thinking regarding development of an account.

• Hands-on, with strong issue-based consulting and conceptual skills and an ambition for innovation.

• Beside operational engagement management, you need to have a deep understanding of pharma as an industry, industry trends & challenges, big therapeutic areas, analytical thinking, etc..

• Excellent listening & communication skills; possesses exemplary business development skills.

• Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral).
