Kelly Services Material Handler in Seneca, South Carolina

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $17/hour

12 hours shift - 5 am - 5pm or 5:30 am to 5:30 pm EST.

Work On Site

Rotating shift - every other weekend off.

What’s a typical day as a Material Handler? You’ll be:

• An integral part of the site safety culture, actively participating in site safety programs

• Responsible for maintaining certain areas of the plant from a safety and housekeeping perspective

• Handling all materials deliveries and movements between warehouse and operations

• Proficient in hazard communication and DOT/OSHA requirements for chemical transportation, storage, and handling

• Using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform necessary job functions

• Adhering to established safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures

• Participating in incident investigations and accomplishing day-to-day EHS activities

• Recognizing and addressing safety hazards and EHS issues

• Proficient in general material handling requirements for storage and movement

• Ensuring load securement through shrink wrapping and banding loads to pallets

• Having the ability to work any shift

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED

• Hold a forklift license or have forklift experience (preferred)

• Can lift at least 50 lbs or 1/3 of your body weight, whichever is less

• Possess a strong safety mindset and work practices

• Have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

• Pay attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy
