SUMMARY:
The Director of Investment Strategy supports our team by providing in-depth analysis and recommendations on markets, stocks, and fixed income securities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, excellent research skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable investment insights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts comprehensive market research to identify trends and investment opportunities in stocks, bonds, ETFs and other securities.
Stock Analysis: Perform fundamental and technical analysis on individual stocks to assess their potential for appreciation or decline and provide actionable recommendations.
Fixed Income Analysis: Evaluate various bonds, preferred stocks, REIT’s, BDC’s and other income-oriented securities to determine their risk, yield, and suitability for client portfolios.
ETF Analysis: Identify promising investment opportunities across a variety of factors, asset classes, styles and sectors
Portfolio Development & Optimization: Assist in the development and maintenance of investment portfolios by suggesting individual securities & allocation strategies based on market conditions and client objectives.
Economic Forecasting: Monitor economic indicators, such as interest rates, inflation, and employment data; and develop models to probabilistically forecast market behavior and investment returns and adjust recommendations accordingly.
Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with investment options, ensuring that recommendations align with clients’ risk tolerance and financial goals.
Prepare Reports: Create financial reports and presentations as needed summarizing research findings, market outlooks, and investment recommendations for the team.
Stay Informed: Monitor news, financial publications, and industry reports to stay updated on market developments and emerging trends.
Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular updates on holdings and market conditions
Collaborate with the team to tailor investment strategies that align with clients' financial goals and risk tolerance.
Support the team in client meetings as needed by providing market insights and overviews of portfolio holdings.
EDUCATION, LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· MBA in business
· License Series 65
Department Account Management & Service
Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
Required Travel: Negligible
Required Education: Master's degree
