POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Applicants for this position must demonstrate versatility in teaching a variety of college-level Interior Design classes, including residential and commercial space, mechanical and digital drawing skills (AutoCAD), and code requirements (check the current catalogue for all courses currently offered in Interior Design). The candidate should possess advanced skills/knowledge of standard industry hardware and software. Responsibilities of the candidate include but are not limited to:

• Teaches assigned courses in accordance with description published in the catalog and the approved course outline, incorporating alternative approaches and methods when appropriate and possible.

• Must possess the willingness and ability to integrate technology and use of the learning management system in the interior design classes.

• Holds classes for the full scheduled time.

• Advises Academic Chairperson of absences in a timely manner.

• Maintains and submits accurate grade and attendance records for students enrolled in classes.

• Adheres to college policies and procedures.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree required. NCIDQ certificate holder preferred.
