Team Overview and Job responsibilities

You will be part of the Finance and Controlling team reporting directly to the Plant Controller. Y ou will be responsible for various higher level plant cost accounting and/or financial accounting functions and will participate in both finance and non-finance teams and projects. Your main responsibilities will be to assist with Month End Close activities, Forecasting and Business planning. Additionally, you will deal with Manufacturing KPIs on a daily basis to ensure management receives clear and accurate data to make strategic decisions for the plant.

Your day to day will include but not limited to:

  • Maintain cost control processes to support accurate financial reporting and forecasting

  • Assist with all Financial closing activities for the facility along with forecasting data.

  • Assist in providing financial leadership and guidance to all functions within the Plant, and assist in identifying leading indicators.

  • Collaborate and work with other plant sites within the Business Unit to provide assistance or analyses that align with the Business Unit goals.

  • Provide oversight and expertise in ensuring accuracy in inventory counts.

  • Roll new part numbers for production.

  • Update bills of material to ensure accurate costs and meticulously review actual costs for any discrepancies

  • Validate Fixed Assets controls, procedures, and accuracy.

  • Reconcile the balance sheet accounts

  • Ensure validity and accuracy of transactions recorded in the ERP through analysis and internal audit

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of spending activities, including purchase orders, receiving, payment processing

  • Maintain productive relationships with external accounting firm, partners, and vendors

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial accounting, cost accounting and/or manufacturing finance

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel

  • Must be able to work independently based on general policy guidelines

  • You are a clear communicator

  • You can and like working in a fast-paced environment.

  • You are exceptionally structured & organized

Desired qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA or similar certification.

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Experience with ERP implementations

  • You are a problem solver.
