Description:

The main function Mechanical Verification Test Engineer is to use their knowledge and skills to measure and test VR product Key Performance Indicatorsdisintegrate. Using measurement knowledge and hands-on testing skills, they’ll design test methods, execute them to verify mechanical design performance, and communicate results to partners and colleagues. Additional opportunities include test data management and analysis.

Skills:

• Demonstrated ability with Instron Bluehill Universal testing software

• Experience with measurement systems qualification (MSA, GR&R)

• Experience with statistical analysis and designed experiments

• Demonstrated ability with statistical software (JMP, Tableau, Python, R)

• Demonstrated ability in 3D CAD design of original parts and assemblies

• Experience in consumer electronics or related field

Responsibilities:

• Execute mechanical design verification tests on turnkey and custom lab equipment

• Force-deflection tests on various product prototype subsystems

• Acoustic, drop/impact, and high-speed video characterization

• System-level tests on various product prototypes

• Develop customized test methods on turnkey and custom lab equipment

• Modify existing test methods for specific tests and devices

• Create original test methods on turnkey and custom lab equipment

• Create, revise, and manage test method documents

• Manage verification data resulting from tests

• Organize, consolidate, and combine test results for analysis

• Manage inventory of test devices

• Catalog and track various configurations of various product prototypes

• Continuously improve processes for device management, testing, and results communication
