Actalent Verification Engineer in Seattle, Washington
Description:
The main function Mechanical Verification Test Engineer is to use their knowledge and skills to measure and test VR product Key Performance Indicatorsdisintegrate. Using measurement knowledge and hands-on testing skills, they’ll design test methods, execute them to verify mechanical design performance, and communicate results to partners and colleagues. Additional opportunities include test data management and analysis.
Skills:
Demonstrated ability with Instron Bluehill Universal testing software
Experience with measurement systems qualification (MSA, GR&R)
Experience with statistical analysis and designed experiments
Demonstrated ability with statistical software (JMP, Tableau, Python, R)
Demonstrated ability in 3D CAD design of original parts and assemblies
Experience in consumer electronics or related field
Responsibilities:
Execute mechanical design verification tests on turnkey and custom lab equipment
Force-deflection tests on various product prototype subsystems
Acoustic, drop/impact, and high-speed video characterization
System-level tests on various product prototypes
Develop customized test methods on turnkey and custom lab equipment
Modify existing test methods for specific tests and devices
Create original test methods on turnkey and custom lab equipment
Create, revise, and manage test method documents
Manage verification data resulting from tests
Organize, consolidate, and combine test results for analysis
Manage inventory of test devices
Catalog and track various configurations of various product prototypes
Continuously improve processes for device management, testing, and results communication
