Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Seattle is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Strand Tender. The successful candidate will work rotating shifts in an environment with high heat exposure. They will be responsible for the set up and operation of a four strand Continuous Casting Machine while adhering to all safe work practices. Scheduled and unscheduled overtime will be required, including nights, weekends and holidays.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Safety training
• Good safety record and an active participant in the safety process
• Brimacombe Continuous Casting Course
• Previous Strand Tender experience
