Sr. Software Engineer

Work on designing and building highly scalable applications with modern user interfaces. Ensure the successful delivery of Accolade's technology roadmap, customer commitments and delivering those all the way to the end customers. Find quick solutions to problems to bias towards results. Work directly with stakeholders and define the scope and requirements of entire area of features and functions that may have varying levels of complexity. Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish in an agile environment proposing innovative solutions. Proficiently move up and down in the tech stack to build Rest APIs, web applications, User Interfaces/Workflows. Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time with high quality for team and as an individual. Coach, mentor and develop other technical leaders and engineers. Telecommuting permitted within the MSA up to 3 days per week. [REF# 557288]

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics or related field of study plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in related occupations. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics or related field of study plus 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in related occupations.

Requires 3 years of experience in the following:

• Java, Python, Typescript, and the Spring Boot framework;
• RESTful API design and development principles & microservice architecture;
• Relational Database Management Services: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server;
• NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, CosmosDB, MongoDB, or CassandraDB;
• Performing root cause analysis across multiple systems;
• Building fault-tolerant, scalable systems;
• Strong product focus, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Demonstrates a good knowledge of functional and nonfunctional attributes for design/architecting systems;
• Partnering with product and cross-team to deliver work and meet deadlines.

Requires 2 years of experience in the following:

• Building on top of Cloud Services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP;
• Building eventing infrastructure including queues, pub-sub, and streams;
• Design and developing ETL platforms with Spark;
• Experience as a Mentor or tech lead.

Salary Range: $190,486 to $211,600 per year
