This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Preforms all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Read and understand blueprints. Fully understands GD&T. Use of gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements. Use of precision tool, machinery and equipment such as CNC lathe, mills, 5 axis, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment. Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites. Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines. Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling. Preforms daily and regular cleaning including light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment. Evaluate experimental procedures and recommends change or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to setup CNC production. Track parts and labor into an MRP system. Read and understand CNC code. Make minor adjustments to CNC programs. Load CNC programs and safely run through first part. Adjust speeds and feeds to obtain optimal cutting conditions. Complies with all quality and company policies, specifications, regulations and instructions. Qualifications: Seven years of related Turning CNC experience. Four years of experience with CNC machines. Two years of experience with multi axis machines. Two years of programming with software like UG, and/or Master Cam. Full understanding of manual machines and how to operate them. High school diploma or GED required along with trade school degree or 10 years of experience. GD&T knowledge and full understanding. Effectively communicate and understands job instructions both verbally and written. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in the concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical of diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required, use of an overhead crane, forklift, stand for long periods of time, vision requirements will include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus.
