Amazon Sr Financial Analyst, Selling Partner Experience (SPX) in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are seeking a Sr Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team and support the Brand Experience and Excellence team within Selling Partner Experience (SPX) organization. With millions of selling partners across over 20 countries listing their products on Amazon Marketplace, their contributions are vital to realizing Amazon's vision of offering the earth’s largest selection and the best prices. The BEE org vision is to enable WW SPs to achieve their full potential to succeed, thrive, and build great Brands by helping SPs innovate new selection, acquire customers, deliver great CX, and lower their cost structure. As an SPX Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving financial insights and supporting management decisions, particularly in the areas of technology and policy solutions that directly impact business planning, operational expenses, and strategic investments across the SPX organization.

Key job responsibilities

-Review and prepare financial analysis for program opportunities

  • Conduct regular inspections of business performance, analyzing key metrics and identifying opportunities for optimization

  • Deep dives on business inputs to perform variance analysis, identify product gaps and opportunities

  • Collaborate effectively with product and operations leaders to achieve financial goals and drive success

  • Deliver insightful recommendations to business partners, encompassing cost-saving measures and process enhancements

  • Evaluate new projects and assess existing initiatives to provide well-informed go/no-go recommendations

  • Stack rank projects for investments to optimize support for Amazon selling partners and help Amazon maximize free cash flow

A day in the life

In this unique role, you will be the direct finance partner supporting Brand Experience and Excellence that your expertise will be instrumental in developing robust processes and governance frameworks, ensuring seamless financial integration and support as we achieve our collective business objectives. A successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as an analytical problem solver. You will engage in a diverse range of activities, including monthly reporting, data deep dives, program management, ad hoc assessments, and strategic planning.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
