The Global Network Deployment (GND) organization is responsible for the cabling infrastructure, network hardware deployment, and program management across AWS data centers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of creating sourcing plans, managing supplier performance, and working with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders.
Create forecasts and sourcing plans in support of customer demand.
Work with a range of stakeholders including supply chain, operations, engineering, and suppliers to drive supply profiles and to support on-time material availability.
Analyze business and technology trends to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and minimize risks for AWS and its customers.
Manage material inventories for AWS data centers
Evaluate and monitor performance of suppliers
Lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture, and follow-up activity coordination.
Serve as an escalation point for teams to remediate supplier/material risks.
A day in the life
As a Sourcing Manger, you will play a crucial role in the procurement and strategy of goods and services in support of AWS data centers. You will work with teams across networking, design engineering, and data center delivery to understand project requirements and translate that into material needs to drive on time delivery for our customers.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of product management and/or sourcing experience
Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
Willingness to travel up to 25% including both domestic and international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Data center and/or cabling infrastructure experience
Project management experience
Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $71,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $153,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
