Design, develop and modify software applications and systems and related duties as assigned by the Company's engineering management. Performance backend development using Java on cloud computing infrastructure. Build large scale backend systems to detect and automate taking down harmful contents that violate Snap's company policies. Build deployment (CI/CD) tooling and deploy the implemented systems on cloud computing platforms. Set up monitoring and alerting and ensure day-to-day operation of the systems. Review code and code quality. Build robust, lasting, and scalable software products. Modify existing software to correct errors, allowing it to adapt to new hardware and/or improve performance. Perform Unit testing and Unit test fixture for new and existing applications.  Required education/experience: Master of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field plus two (2) years of experience in Software Engineering or closely related experience; OR Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in Software Engineering or closely related experience.  Required Skills: Knowledge and/or experience in: Programming language: Java. Programming frameworks: server-side frameworks, asynchronous programming, stream processing. Operational tooling: Metrics monitoring and incident management. CI/CD tooling. IDE: IntelliJ. Software testing: Junit, Mockito. Code review: GitHub.
