The Amazon Business Post Order Integrations (POI) team is seeking a Software Development Engineer who want to disrupt the way businesses purchase their supplies. Amazon Business (AB) combines the selection, convenience and value customers have come to know and love from Amazon, with new features and unique benefits tailored to the needs of businesses such as business-only pricing and selection, single- or multi-user business accounts,
Business Prime, approval workflow, purchasing system integrations, payment solutions, dedicated customer support and more. AB serves Fortune 500 companies, hospital systems, local governments, and education organizations in 10 countries.
As a Software Development Engineer in the AB Post Order Integrations (POI) team, you design, build and deliver e-invoice/purchase system solutions with complex technical challenges, lead and mentor junior engineers, advocate for engineering best practices, and are a key contributor to achieving the team’s business and operational goals. Key job responsibilities
Ability to design and deliver right and high quality solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
Drive best practices for engineering excellence and operational excellence in team.
Work with other team members to develop the architecture and design of new and current systems.
Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software.
A day in the life
In this role, you will lead backend designs and development, employ a variety of SCO and AWS services, automate tasks via scripting and other mechanisms and closely collaborate with tech and business stakeholders within and outside our organization. Candidates need strong ownership, passion to provide great customer experience and excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
