Diamond Parking Service Senior Tax Manager in Seattle, Washington
Summary: Opportunity for an experienced well-rounded tax professional to contribute on a small hands-on team, supporting a full range of tax compliance, provision and audit activities. You will be responsible for income tax compliance including US and Canadian federal and state, annual tax provision preparation, sales and use, B&O, and other indirect tax filings. We have a concentration in the real estate industry and seek a professional with experience in partnerships, S-corporations, individuals and estate and trust taxation with an excellent working knowledge of Excel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned. * Review the state and local tax preparation and filings of the tax staff person . * Preparation and review of quarterly income tax estimates, extensions, and tax projections including S-corporation, partnership, trust, gift, and individual returns. * Assist in tax compliance activities, planning, and research * Work with Sovos, NetSuite, and Parking Operations to ensure proper tax collection and reporting with respect to parking revenue, including tracking tax-exempt parking. * Review fixed asset accounting and roll forwards using SAGE software. * Assist tax director with reconciling certain general ledger accounts and recording real estate acquisitions and disposal Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience * Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; Master's with a concentration in tax preferred * A minimum of 5 years of related experience; Pro System tax preparation software experience is a plus * Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, operations, and upper management * Strong verbal/ written communication skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Captive insurance experience preferred Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
