Amazon Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, AWS Managed Services in Seattle, Washington
Description
AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. SSAs work backwards from our customer’s most complex business problems to build and execute technical go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses.
AWS Managed Services (AMS) helps customers adopt AWS at scale by operating their AWS resources efficiently and securely using AWS services. AMS extends customer teams with operational capabilities, including monitoring, incident management, security, patch, backup, and cost optimization. As an SSA for AMS, you will leverage your cloud operations domain expertise to help customers create cloud operating models that use AWS services to ensure their workloads are well operated.
We pride ourselves on thinking big, delivering exceptional results for our customers, and working across AWS as #OneTeam.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead technical pre-sales conversations with AWS customers. Help them define cloud operating models that leverage AWS services and align to AWS operational and security best practices.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical and operational knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking at events such as AWS Summit and re:Invent.
• Partner with business development peers to define the technical components of best-in-class Go-To-Market (GTM) concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate operational best practices into customer architectures.
