Zillow, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for its Seattle, Washington office.

Job Duties: Work in different application layers, including front end, middle tier/server side, and database layer while collaborating with teams across multiple disciplines and offices nationwide. Create UX and design, developing features iteratively and quickly. Research and pioneer the adoption of new technologies. Architect and implement web applications, utilizing strong web application development technologies. Write high-end code that is readable, testable, and extensible. Write unit tests on the full web stack. Mentor and lead other developers on the team. Telecommuting is permitted.

Education Requirement: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field*

Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of experience in each of the following:*

• Leading the design, development, and launch of highly scalable distributed services and web applications
• Developing, coding, and debugging software applications (e.g. APIs, services, and/or web applications)
• Engineering test verification systems to track regressions during software testing and CI/CD deployments
• Building real-time data processing systems, with streaming and batch processing techniques
• Crafting software systems and user experiences using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript (TypeScript), and Python

*Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in all of the above in lieu of a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience.
