Amazon Senior Product Manager - Books Customer Experience, WW Books Supply Chain Operations in Seattle, Washington

The Kindle Content and Physical Books team is looking for a passionate and visionary Senior Product Manager who loves to innovate and create world-class customer experiences that will enhance the product availability and reading experience of Books customers. This includes end to end ownership of innovative new features that advances our vision of becoming the preferred destination for customers to purchase and read books across our business.

As the WW Senior Product Manager for product damage and defect reduction, your core responsibility is to design products that holistically prevents damaged shipments and overall defects to our WW Print Books customers. This includes end to end ownership of closed loop mechanism for damaged shipments from product Prep to carrier performance also accounting for Books nuances. You’ll collaborate with other Marketplace Points of Contact (POCs) to drive initiatives within the last mile defect reduction workstream, design metrics / KPIs, propose tenets, list our current customer gaps with central teams and design future roadmap for a defect free supply chain. Additionally, this role will partner with Amazon Logistics, Data science, Finance, Transportation and internal stakeholders while owning the product roadmap strategy and execution. The Senior Product Manager work will directly influence the shopping experience of millions of customers by improving their shopping experience and championing this vision across the company will be a key part of your role.

Specific Responsibilities:

Have end-to-end ownership of last mile damage & defect reduction initiatives with Senior Leadership goals and visibility, from conceptualization and design through development and implementation

Partner with Amazon Logistics and Customer Excellence teams to reduce last mile delivery defects

Think creatively and invent new mechanisms for defect identification based on signals from customers, defective shipment data and Andons.

Design long-term supply chain strategies to raise the bar for customers while reducing cost

Be the central voice of US Books to systems and operations leaders to champion supply chain initiatives and extend them beyond Books across the company

Manage diverse stakeholder relationships to gain cross-functional support to deliver results across the supply chain

Expand our product scope and learnings to WW market places approaching systemic & technical implementations (ML based product Prep, Prep workflow improvements)

About the team:

The Books Operational Excellence team operates cross-functionally, partnering closely with Retail, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver results. This is a highly visible position that includes interactions with leaders across the organization – from senior Books leaders through systems and operations managers – to drive alignment and deliver results.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
