We are seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic-minded business development leader with the passion to build a high growth business.

As a Senior Manager of Business Development, you will lead a team driving new business growth through scaled motions. You will own the end-to-end strategy and delivery for the self service segment as well as pipeline development for the entire US sales team. This is a great opportunity someone with a business builder mindset who will thrive working cross-functionally across Operations, Product, Tech, Pricing and Finance to experiment with new solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Think strategically across the industry landscape to develop the demand strategy and growth plans for enterprise customer segments.

• Own revenue and profitability goals for self-service segment.

• Develop and implement mechanisms to launch and optimize scaled GTM.

• Hire, mentor and develop a diverse team of high performing business development professionals, fostering an inclusive environment.

• Strong command of economic and operational KPIs and ability to dive deep on your portfolio.

• Act as a trusted owner of the commercial deal strategy with executive stakeholders across Amazon Shipping, Operations, Finance and Legal.

• Lead the internal approvals and senior leadership alignment meetings throughout the different phases.

• Influence partner teams to unlock new business opportunities and growth across your portfolio.

• Lead with an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent

  • Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
