What would you do?

The 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for the plants sanitation and pest control program. Including, but not limited to production equipment cleaning, chemical handling, pest control, environmental monitoring, building and grounds cleaning and upkeeping of the facility. Provide leadership and guidance to sanitation operators, as well as Quality Technicians, and Production Operators (as neeed). Overall assurance of food safety and quality principles.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation, verification, and validation of all SSOPs.

Support the implementation and development of metrics for successful sanitation, pest control, and other Quality programs.

Lead and oversee the maintenance and improvement of the Master Sanitation Schedule.

Lead and promote capability to all employees conducting sanitation activities. This involves organization, training, motivation, and methodology development.

Direct and coordinate all daily sanitation activities within the plant, including common areas, grounds, and surroundings.

Focus on Sanitation optimization and continuous improvement.

Supervise and support the plant Quality Technicians and sanitation operators. Align with QATM to provide objectives and development plans to improve skill sets and support ongoing career development.

Monitor programs and procedures to comply with customer, corporate, and regulatory requirements for quality and food safety.

Support the development and training of Quality and Plant personnel in program/procedure requirements. Programs and procedures will include, but are not limited to: HACCP, SQF, GMPs, SSSOPs.

Lead and foster the use of root cause analysis to determine permanent corrective actions in support of improving quality programs.

Support the change management process. Ensure that sanitation is incorporated into all changes introduced into the plant.

Support and lead Quality and production crew meetings and trainings, as needed.

Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.

Interact with third-party auditors to facilitate food safety audits within the plant.

Oversee chemical inventory.

What will you need to be successful?

Minimum Requirements:

B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, or other related degree is preferred, but not required.

2-5 years food plant experience

Sanitation experience

Regulatory understanding

Knowledge of microbiology preferred (product and environmental)

Understanding of production processing

HACCP Knowledge and understanding (Certification preferred)

Audit skills (Internal, QS, Supplier, Customer Audit Facilitator)

Food Safety & QA experience is a plus.

Ability to work 3rd shift hours: 9pm-5:30am.

compensation data

The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
