WORK SCHEDULE

• Part time / 60% FTE

• Day shifts only (8:00am - 4:30pm)

• 3 days per week, Monday-Friday only DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Bone and Joint Center provides comprehensive orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, with a key focus on the spine, hip and knees. Our board-certified specialists treat complex injuries and chronic conditions, including osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. We also provide shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgeries, as well as minimally invasive arthroscopies. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Great opportunity for RNs who enjoy patient education PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work alongside a team of board-certified orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, and rehabilitation medicine physicians

• Provide patient education, pre-operative teaching, and general nursing care

• Monitor patient flow

• Perform triage

• Coordinate medical and nursing care across the UW Medicine system

• Document patient care outcomes in our EHR system (Epic) REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of recent medical-surgical or ambulatory nursing experience

• Active licensure to work as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
