Day shifts, Monday-Friday ABOUT OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
We are a 22-bed Level IV Trauma Center
We provide specialized treatment for cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients
We have been recognized for providing one of the fastest times to treatment for cardiac patients in the Seattle region

Serve in a highly visible leadership role

Train the next generation of clinical staff
Play hands-on role in quality assurance and improvement PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, implements, and evaluates the quality of care in our Emergency Department
Plans and hosts education services for RNs, MAs, and Unit Secretaries; this includes residency programs, preceptorships, and continuing education courses
Develops skill assessment tools and competency documentation tools
Coordinates skill verification programs
Mentors and assists new employees to assimilate successfully into the workforce
Serves as the in-house training expert and liaison representing Emergency Services on committees and multidisciplinary teams
Identifies quality benchmarks, assesses departmental performance, and designs improvement plans
Assures staff compliance with hospital policy and regulations
Anticipates and forecasts educational needs
Monitors trends in the healthcare industry and incorporates new developments into our programs
Facilitates continuous learning and development
Models Patients are First and service culture guidelines REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
2 years of Emergency Department RN work experience
4 years of clinical RN work experience in a hospital setting
2 years of experience in education/teaching, either in an educational setting or a hospital
Knowledge of adult teaching and learning principles
Knowledge of program development and program coordination
Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State (required by start date)
