We are looking for a research technician to aid in in vivo two-photon imaging studies and image analysis and aspects of lab management. A portion of work will be dedicated to conducting experiments and toward publication of research studies (with authorship). A separate portion will involve maintenance of laboratory operation. While specific skills will be taught, existing experience in imaging, image analysis, and transgenic mouse colony management is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage aspects of laboratory operations, which may include mouse colony management, maintenance/oversight of laboratory inventories, and development/curation of standard operating protocols.

• Conduct experiments and analyses for research projects. Work closely with a senior graduate student or post-doctoral fellow in study design, implementation, data interpretation and publication.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, or related field.

• At least one (1) year of experience in a laboratory/research setting and/or experience with molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.

Preferred:

• Experience in neuroscience or imaging research studies.

• Some experience with mouse colony management.

• Some experience with laboratory management.

Compensation Range

$21.94 - $32.90 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
