Advancement Operations supports fundraising, marketing, and alumni engagement activities at the UW, and has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Test Analyst. The QA Analyst will create and execute testing efforts related to all systems supported by the Information Management team including Marketo, Cvent, and Tandem, in addition to Advancement’s emergent needs and initiatives.

What You Will Do: Test Case Creation & Execution (45%)

•Create and maintain detailed test cases, based on business requirements and product design reviews. •Execute functional, front-end data validation, regression, and smoke testing to validate requirements and ensure usability. •Support testing performed by end users, including training testers and tracking defects.

Defect Reporting and Coordination (15%)

•Identify, analyze, and report product defects. •Track defects and coordinate with developers to ensure resolution.

Cross-Functional Support (15%)

•Work closely with QA Lead, Business Analysts, and teammates to support Tandem stabilization, system enhancements, and release testing. •Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the system. •Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal reviews thorough release and post release phases.

Collaborating with Teams (10%)

•Collaborate with QA Lead, Business Analysts, and Development teams to understand requirements to plan and implement testing activities for Advancement initiatives.

Progress Tracking and Reporting (5%)

•Track progress and regularly report status to QA Lead and Project Leads. •Provide feedback on the usability of developed solutions.

Automation and Process Improvements (5%)

•Blend automated and manual testing to efficiently cover regression testing. •Seek out and communicate opportunities for process improvements.

Other (5%)

•Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems or related field and two to three years’ experience creating, executing, and managing testing for software projects.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. What You Bring:

•Strong working knowledge of software testing best practices. • Experience with reviewing requirements and developing test cases based on those requirements. • Experience designing flexible test systems to adapt to rapidly changing specifications. • Excellent written and oral communication, technical documentation, and interpersonal interaction. • Ability to work independently, think analytically, problem solve, take initiative, set priorities, and manage multiple projects effectively. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team by providing and incorporating feedback. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
