WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Puget Sound Stewardship Technician, under the direction of the Puget Sound Stewardship Manager, is responsible for implementing key stewardship activities for the Washington Chapter's Port Susan Bay Preserve and other preserves within the Puget Sound region. The primary focus of this position will be on post-restoration stewardship and monitoring in tidally influenced systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Technician will have primary responsibility for implementing post-restoration stewardship and monitoring at Port Susan Bay Preserve, including managing contracts, monitoring vegetation, evaluating project outcomes, coordinating with partners, contractors, and staff, and mapping and treating invasive plants. The Technician is responsible for helping with the development of invasive species treatment plans, scheduling and overseeing work crews and contractors in the field, maintaining tools and equipment, maintaining site infrastructure, and occasional volunteer event management. As funding and time allows, they may implement stewardship and monitoring activities for other TNC preserves in the Puge
