Amazon Principal Program Manager, Customer Trust in Seattle, Washington

Description

Customer Trust is looking for a Principal Program Manager to join the Customer Trust leadership team supporting cross-functional programs. We are seeking a professional that combines world-class communication skills with strong organizational abilities to drive internal and external communications, deliver rhythm-of-the-business activities, building business operation programs to coordinate cross-team goals, yearly planning, and team metrics. This highly-visible role will be responsible for supporting the vision, strategy, and execution of the Customer Trust Leadership team’s goals and will collaborate with internal functions. This is a role for you if you possess a high level of autonomy and integrity while managing an unending variety of job responsibilities. Keeping an open mind, operational expertise at scale, and having the ability to manage well in ambiguous spaces will be keys to your success.

Key job responsibilities

The Principal Program Manager is responsible for consistently bring strong customer centric approach and strategic judgment to decisions with deep knowledge of the core business systems and a broad understanding of Amazon’s manufactured devices and subscription services. You will apply this knowledge to invent, evolve, improve, and simplify processes.

  • Identify and lead projects to support internal Customer Trust teams

  • Create, review, and edit executive-facing documents raising the bar for internal narratives and communication across the organization

  • Establish mechanism to track and report on all Internal metrics and KPIs (input goals)

  • Streamline overhead to focus teams on work and delivery, revisiting tools as teams grow to ensure they are still value-added, creating and de-commissioning mechanisms as needed

  • Work cross-functionally and across geographies with stakeholders at all levels to define key messages and themes to drive awareness and adoption of programs and initiatives

  • Advise and influence leadership and stakeholder teams on various trade-off decisions

A day in the life

You will partner with internal teams within Customer Trust to understand their business, core challenges, and how they need support. You will take this information and partner with stakeholders outside of this team to create new processes, business requirements, and highlight egregious customer facing issues that need to be resolved.

About the team

Customer Trust is a collection of Amazon's more customer obsessed teams. We advocate on behalf of our customers by influencing our business partners with data, anecdotes, and information to spotlight issues that need attention and focus. This role will help enable all of the other teams within Customer Trust to be more effective.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

  • PMP certificate

  • MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
