Job Title: Senior Architect and Design LeadJob Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect and Design Lead to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, overseeing project execution, and ensuring design standards are up to date. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead diverse studio groups, manage staffing resources, and oversee integrated design efforts for projects of varying type, scale, and complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans.

  • Oversee project execution and ensure standards are up to date.

  • Ensure senior designers meet budgets and schedules.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and coordinate with regional offices to drive success.

  • Lead diverse studio groups and manage staffing resources.

  • Oversee integrated design efforts for various projects.

  • Develop and implement large-scale strategic initiatives.

  • Contribute to annual business planning.

  • Ensure consistent quality of design deliverables.

  • Elevate the firm's reputation for design excellence.

  • Lead business development efforts and pursue growth opportunities.

  • Contribute to project proposals, RFP responses, and statements of qualifications.

  • Foster collaborative team environments and provide constructive feedback.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Manage the health and viability of client interactions.

  • Navigate conflict, manage through change, and facilitate difficult conversations.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff at all levels.

  • Engage in Learning and Development opportunities.

  • Lead cross-market collaboration efforts.

  • Integrate regional design practices and ensure successful project team integration.

Essential Skills

  • 20+ years' experience in architecture, interior design, or related field.

  • Experience in retail, Food and Beverage (F&B), or entertainment.

  • Project management skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to lead and manage diverse studio groups.

  • Experience in architectural design and construction administration.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

  • Comprehensive understanding of large-scale business operations and firm-wide financial management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent.

  • Heavy design experience.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, including up to 25% travel to other sites. You will have the autonomy to shape and make the role your own, working in a larger architectural firm with a path to becoming a shareholder within a few years. The company is growing and merging with Colliers Engineering and Design to expand design services and gain strong backing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $200000.00/yr.

Generous PTO: 5 weeks of paid time off plus holidays.Health Coverage: Comprehensive health coverage, transitioning from Aetna to BCBS.Bonuses: Year-end bonuses of 8-10%, with potential mid-year bonuses.
