Come to Apple and join us on the AIML Integration and Delivery team! We are looking for a strong software engineer to contribute to our OS framework to manage the lifecycle of ML models on device. You will work on design and implementation of the framework and associated tools required to make Siri work. Come be a part of the Siri experience!

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of OS level software development experience (multithreaded programming, locking, IPC etc)

  • Broad knowledge of computer science; ability to quickly learn new domains

  • The drive to dig in to unfamiliar areas of the software stack to figure out how they work and why

  • Strong triage and debugging skills with the drive to get to the root cause across broad product areas

  • The ability to pull together concepts from disparate systems into a functional model

  • Expert level in C, Objective-C, or other OO languages, some exposure to Swift

  • Great teamwork skills and place high value on initiating, developing and maintaining cross functional partnerships

  • Excellent analytical, comprehension, communication, writing, and consultative skills, with an innovation mindset

Description

You and your teammates will help drive the future technical direction of our framework that is built to provide a reliable and seamless experience for Siri users. This role enables you to build on your OS level knowledge, and increase your familiarity with the technology stack for iOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS. You will work on the end-to-end product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, unit test development, tools, metrics, bug fixing, right through to the delivery of the software to end users.

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent industry experience

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
