We are seeking a Learning Experience Designer III - Hybrid Remote (home and office in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA). This position is responsible for developing high-quality learning experiences, particularly in support of Hanger Clinic's program-focused education tracks and specialty care pathways. Working closely with world-class O&P, rehab leaders, Hanger Institute and Hanger Clinic staff, you will design vILT and ILT learning activities, create online courses and programs, consult on instructional design, facilitate sessions, and collaborate on innovative uses of education technology within our department. Ideally, you have experience in (a) working and / or providing education within a health care setting and (b) designing professional education courses or programs by using learner research, needs assessments and innovative learning styles to produce top quality programs that meet our team goals and objectives. Your Impact Design (50%) Collaborate and design learning programs and pathways using proven design models and adult learning theory for healthcare and medical professionals Responsible for large-scale curriculum design and course mapping Work closely with professional education / marketing leadership to develop courses for targeted programs Design ILT, vILT and online learning activities that help learners apply what they are learning and achieve learning goals, such as interactive lessons, learning assessments, practical exercises, engagement in social learning, or other activities based on specified requirements, pedagogical best practices, and user-friendly design Build out organized and user-friendly learning experiences using learning platforms (e.g., Adobe Learning Manager, Articulate 360 and Rise 360) Project Management (30%) Manage education-based projects: build consensus on learning design decisions with SME and team members; facilitate and update course development workflows; ensure instructional integrity with quality assurance checks; maintain project timelines; coordinate efforts among the different roles of a project team; provide project status updates to key Professional Education stakeholders. Work with instructors or other subject matter experts to draft and edit learning content, including scripts, storyboards, video lessons, learning assessments, assignment instruction and rubrics, discussion prompts, etc. Carry out quality assurance reviews of course content and sites, identifying and fixing errors, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and professionally produced in and outside of
